The Fence Installation Process
There are a few steps involved in fence installation. First, you need to clear the area where the fence will go. This usually means removing any vegetation, leveling the ground, and tamping it down, so it’s nice and flat.
Once that’s done, you can start putting up your posts. This usually means digging a hole and setting the posts in concrete for wood fences. For chain-link, it’s a matter of attaching the posts to metal anchors that are driven into the ground.
Once the posts are up, you can attach your fence panels or pickets. And that’s it! Your new fence is installed.
If you need help with any part of the process, give us a call. We’re happy to lend a hand.
What Type of Fence Should I Install?
There are a few things to consider when choosing a fence. First, what is the purpose of the fence? Are you looking to keep animals in (or out)? Do you need privacy? Or are you just looking to add some curb appeal to your property?
Once you’ve decided on the purpose of your fence, you can start narrowing down the options. Wood fences are a good choice for privacy and animal containment. Chain-link is good for enclosing yards and keeping animals in (or out). Wrought iron is a popular choice for decorative purposes.
There are other things to consider as well. How much maintenance are you willing to do? Wood fences need to be stained or sealed every few years, and insects can damage them. Chain-link fences can rust if they’re not made of galvanized steel. Wrought iron fences will need to be repainted every few years.
You should also consider the appearance of the fence. Wood fences come in a variety of styles, from picket fences to solid wood privacy fences. Chain-link fences can be covered with fabric for privacy or left as is. Wrought iron fences can be simple and elegant or ornate and elaborate.
There are a lot of choices to make when it comes to installing a new fence. But don’t worry–our team can help you figure it all out. Give us a call, and we’ll be happy to discuss your options with you.
